I’ve been in the process of setting up the basement graphic studio to also function with a couple of table top areas. Collecting materials needed to build scrims, booms, diffusers and soft-boxes has been taking up a fair amount of time as well. Location wise, the basement is perfect, all ambient light can be killed, just the setup I had in Chicago, a huge help in dealing with specular lighting artifacts. Lastly, tethering the camera’s viewfinder to the computer monitor will allow changes in real time…remembering film bracketing and the pile ‘O Polaroids.
